I’m not working. Is it possible? Do I want to work? What would I do?
Get Connected: Learn about possibilities. Employment can be a pathway. Connect with your Service Coordinator.
Action Items:
- Ask your Service Coordinator to add your interest in or curiosity in employment to your goals. Goals can be revised or removed at any time. Your service plan helps address your short and long-term goals, even exploration of employment.
- Request Benefits Counseling. This is a first step in receiving individualized support. Gain clarity, dispel myths, address fears, and more. Feel empowered to make an informed decision.
- Request a free copy of your Benefits Planning Query form (BPQY) from Social Security Administration. Your Service Coordinator, or Certified Benefits Counselor, can assist you. The BPQY is needed before a Certified Benefits Counselor can provide you with an individualized assessment of your benefits as it relates to employment. Click HERE for more information about BPQY.
- Your Service Coordinator (SC) can share the many ways we can support including but not limited to a referral to PA Office of Vocational Rehabilitation (OVR).
