Rite Aid Closures and Important Information

Due to recent closures, your Rite Aid Pharmacy may no longer be in our pharmacy network. Here is what you can do to prevent issues getting your medications:

STEP 1: Call your Rite Aid store to confirm if they are closing or changing ownership.

STEP 2: You have the choice to remain at the transferred pharmacy, however if your store is closing, or you would prefer to select a new pharmacy, visit our website and use the “Find A Pharmacy/Provider” tool to locate a new pharmacy.

In addition, our Pharmacy page for Providers has a listing of our pharmacy network by zip code.

STEP 3: If you select a new pharmacy, be sure to reach out to the new pharmacy and ask to have your medications transferred.

If a new prescription is needed, reach out to your Doctor and have it filled at your newly chosen pharmacy.

PA Health and Wellness is committed to providing appropriate, high-quality, and cost-effective drug therapy to all PA Health and Wellness participants. PA Health and Wellness’s Pennsylvania prescription insurance covers prescription medications and certain over-the-counter medications with a written order from a PA Health and Wellness provider.

This Pennsylvania prescription drug coverage program does not cover all medications. Some medications may require prior authorization and some may have limitations. Other medically necessary pharmacy services are covered as well.

Filling Prescriptions for Extended Day Supply

PA Health and Wellness members may fill prescriptions for certain maintenance medications for up to a 90 day supply at participating pharmacies.
